The Trojan horse was an extremely clever ploy to sneak Greek soldiers into Troy. Odysseus had a large wooden horse built with the insides hollowed out. This way thrity soldiers could hide on the inside (Legend of the Trojan War).As Odysseus and the other soldiers climbed into the horse the Greek fleets sailed away to deceive the people of Troy. The Trojans admired the massive horse. A man named Sinon pretended to be left by the Greeks to fool the Trojans into letting the horse inside the City's walls. Sinon reassured the Trojan people that the horse was safe and would bring them good luck. Although, Lancoon and Cassandra spoke against the horse they were ignored.
With the horse safely inside the Trojan people celebrated. Their triumphant win led to an even greater party. Late in the night when everyone was either drunk or asleep Sinon let the Greek soldiers out. They killed everyone, leaving no one insight. They killed Priam and raped Cassandra. Their strategic tactics led Odysseus and the soldiers to a glorious win. In this picture it is clear to see the Trojans pushing the horse in. Everyone in Troy is awaiting for the glory of the horse to grace their city. The excitement of the people is quickly undermined by its tragic end(History of The Trojan War).
